When I listen to this song, I feel happy. I’m not talking about the happy you get when you get a new puppy. I’m talking about the kind of happy that only peace brings. Fields of fresh grown earth, warmth in the air, loved ones, sun rays hitting your face happy. The emotional reaction that is made when I hear this song brings me to a place that is not earthly, so it is hard for me to tell you what I feel. What I see in my head is beautiful. What I feel in my heart is pure. What I want to say cannot be said. The beauty in Jesus and the purity of his love is something I want so badly, I can almost taste it. It is something so foreign to us here on earth. It seems that there is more fighting, worrying, hating, complaining, arguing over nothing, loving the wrong things, caring less than usual. When I hear this song, I focus. When the message of this song passes through my ears, I stop, I breathe, I smile, I love. Please, listen. If you don’t like it, that’s fine. The message isn’t for you to like it. The message is to love. The message is to see Him. For me, the notes, words, and sounds of this song outline, shade, detail, paint, and cover the canvas that is the image of Christ. Live in Love. Live for Others. Peace.
